My first day back at work after a 4-day weekend was a killer, but I got to go run with Sonja so things actually ended pretty well! We decided to do our normal route backwards... what we didn't think through was that all of the downhills at the end of the route become uphill when they are at the beginning of the route. It was so sad at how winded I got - you'd a thought I was a smoker or something. We actually ran most of the uphill parts and walked the rest, but seeing as this was a first run for us in over a week I thought we did pretty good. I'm determined to get up early and get on the treadmill tomorrow morning.
Push-ups have fallen by the wayside as well and I probably should have started the whole hundred push-ups thing over but I didn't. I was actually doing pretty well until Sonja fell on her face and we both started laughing too hard for me to finish my last set.

Set 5 - 4 (I was supposed to do a min of 6 here)

Next week is going to be weird with exercising since I'm going to California for a business trip. The first hotel I'm staying at has a treadmill so that's cool, but the second one doesn't. Maybe I'll just skip that day? I've been stalking the hotels on-line and they are pretty centrally located downtown San Jose/Santa Barbara so maybe I can just take a nice little jog sometime before it gets dark. ANYTHING would be better than not running at all!
