Today marks my 20 day mark of exercising and I really feel like there should be confetti or trumpets and streamers or something! While I didn't make my goal of working out 20 days in a row (which may have been a smidgen unrealistic), I do feel that I've made time for working out in my daily schedule. I still feel like I have to be really careful not to let up, because it's in my nature to want to sit around and not push myself. What I feel most accomplished about is that I'm actually doing something about my body issues-instead of getting upset about things I'm actually doing something to counter-act it.
So I didn't do anything spectacular for my 20th workout, I walked for 30 minutes. I did get a test run in for about 2 mins of that, just to see how my calf was doing, and it seemed fine. I may start up running intervals again tomorrow.
I stumbled upon this article on the benefits of yoga battling anxiety & depression on MSN this morning and thought it was pretty interesting. http://health.msn.com/health-topics/depression/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100237603&Gt1=31009 I actually have done any yoga in quite awhile since I'm focused on running, but I may work that back in.

ReplyDeleteShe's our old landlord. We've had many a free massage from her and Sarah took some classes from her awhile back... let me know if you want me to introduce you.
Thanks Ben - I've been meaning to ask you about her - Sarah mentioned her last time we hung out.
