Natalie was right - I need some goals to keep me going but since I'm not focusing on a specific weight goal these may seem a little general? Anyway - here they are
1.) Work out every day for 20 days -- I read somewhere to make something a habit you have to do it for 20 consecutive days. Today is day 5.
2.) Exercise 4-5 days a week after that.
3.) I'd like to run a mile in the next year. without having to walk.
4.) Floss every day. Random I know, but since I'm making life changes why not? =)
Today Parrish joined me on a walk through our neighborhood and the neighborhood across the street. I'm not sure how far that is, but it's the safest route for a walk/jog around here (Johnston county doesn't believe in sidewalks). Parrish lasted a full circuit, and I was really proud of him, especially since his knee was bothering him from yoga yesterday. I kept going for another circuit and a half - I even managed a nice jog. Technically you could say that I jogged around my neighborhood since I managed to jog half of the length twice =) Running felt really good and I started to remember all the little tricks in my head that kept me moving when I ran cross country. Hopefully one day I'll be able to run continuously at a good clip.
I'm having some problems with my feet - I have flat feet and they hurt sometimes when I'm jogging - I think I need some new insoles. I bought Asics, which are supposed to have the best arch support out of all the brands, but apparently that isn't enough or I need to stretch more or something.
